About that name..."Our home is affectionately called Tigh Shebeen, which is Gaelic for a kind of speakeasy house. My husband and I both come from Irish families and have spent a lot of time in the old country. We wanted to recreate the joyful atmosphere of family, history, stories and fun that you find in an Irish community--a community that traditionally gathers at the pub. So we've made our home with a welcoming pub at its heart, one that encourages the gathering of friends and family for stories and fun. We hope that you enjoy your stay at Tigh Shebeen, and leave with great stories of your own."
