The Original / The BestBack in 1997, The Timberwolf subdivision was developed as the first ski-in/ski-out luxury home community at what was then Wolf Mountain. At the time, the only groomed terrain at the resort was the beginner slope. Everything else was ungroomed, ski-it-if-you're-able.
Fast forward to today, and that Timberwolf subdivision is known as The Timbers. Wolf Mountain is now Canyons Village at Park City Resort, the single biggest ski resort in Utah. Not accounting for the linking up with Park City, which makes for the largest ski resort in the US, Canyons alone now boasts plenty of groomed terrain for all abilities: 4,000 skiable acres--10% of it beginner, and the remaining 90% almost evenly divided between intermediate and expert. And all of that picturesque terrain is accessible right from the door of every house here in The Timbers subdivision (including Tigh Shebeen). At the south end of the Canyons Resort village, The Timbers is comprised entirely of single family homes nestled in the aspens and pines. Home sizes are impressive. (Tigh Shebeen logging in at over 7,500.) |
The views of the Mountain's back bowls are often upstaged by passing moose and deer. Yet, with all of it's appointments and amenities, The TImbers enjoys more of a neighborhood vibe than some other luxury developments. As do it's owners and renters.
In addition to easy access to the slopes, The Timbers is also just a 10-minute walk to Canyons Resort Village and all its shops, services and award-winning restaurants. The Canyons Village / Park City Mountain Resort interconnect gondola is opening for the winter 2015/2016 season, creating a behemoth of a skiing and snowboarding resort.
